5.
If the engine still does not start, refer to the troubleshooting diagram at the end of this manual.
STOPPING THE ENGINE
ATTENTION: The cutting tool can continue to rotate after the engine is switched off.
1.
Cool the engine by letting it run at idle for 2 to 3 minutes.
2.
Follow the start button to the Stop or 0 position.
CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
ATTENTION: The cutting tool must never rotate with the engine idling.
When the throttle trigger is released, the engine must return to idle. The idle speed can be adjusted and should be low
enough to allow the clutch to disengage the chain when the throttle trigger is released.
CHECKING AND ADJUSTING IDLE SPEED
1.
Run the engine at idle for 2 to 3 minutes or until the engine runs warm.
2.
If the cutting tool rotates at idle speed, reduce idle speed by turning the carburettor adjusting screw
counterclockwise.
NOTE: If you have a tachometer, use it to adjust the idle speed. The standard idle speed is: 3000+/-
200rpm.
3.
If the engine is choked and does not run or the engine does not accelerate
normally, increase the idle speed by turning the adjusting screw (2) clockwise.
NOTE: The mixture cannot be adjusted in the carburetor.
PRUNER
ATTENTION: Never use the mower at an angle greater than 60° to reduce the risk of being hit by
falling elements during handling.
Hold the mower firmly with both hands when in operation.
HARNESS
1.
Attach the harness hook to the outer tube.
2.
Wear the sling so that the hook hangs towards your right hand.
3.
Adjust the length of the sling so that you can comfortably hold and operate the machine.
4.
In case of emergency, pull the white tab of the coupler firmly. The machine will release from the harness.
USING THE MACHINE WITHOUT THE TOP TUBE
If the bottom tube is long enough, you can use it without the top tube depending on the working conditions.
COMMON OPERATIONS
Standard cut: The best posture is to place the appliance at a 60° angle, but another angle can be used to suit
your needs.
Cut above the obstacles: Thanks to the long range of the pruning shear, it is possible to prune branches over
obstacles such as rivers or lakes. The angle to be formed in this case depends on the position of the branch.
Cutting on a working platform: The long reach of the mower allows cutting close to the trunk without the
risk of the working platform damaging the other branches. In this case, the angle depends on the position of
the branch.
