6.2 - CPI SWITCH INSTALLATION and CALIBRATION
It is necessary to work in a non-explosive atmosphere
and shut off the gas before installation.
• ATTENTION: The CPI switch is supplied with a 3 metre
long pre-wired connection cable. This cable CANNOT be
replaced with a different one. In the event of damage, the
part must be disposed of and replaced with an identical
new one; Any repair (if possible) can only be carried out
by the manufacturer;
• Unscrew the cap (21) under the valve body (4);
• In place of the cap (21) screw in the CPI kit (15). Make
sure that between the body (4) and CPI kit (15) there is
the aluminium washer (20);
• Tighten the CPI kit (15) to the valve's body (4) with a special
commercial spanner;
• In the dangerous zone, wire the ends of the CPI cable with
explosion-proof approved equipment (E.g. Terminal box with
"E" protection or increased safety according to EN 60079-7)
using the special wire terminals;
• Connect the CPI cable (16) terminals in series to the
signalling device;
• To calibrate the microswitch, loosen the fastening nut (19)
and position (by screwing on or off) the adjustment ring nut
(18) so that, with the solenoid valve in a closed position,
the microswitch provides the signal;
• Secure the adjustment ring nut (18) in that position by
tightening the nut (19);
• The kit is now installed. Open and close the solenoid valve
(by supplying and cutting off power) 2-3 times to make sure
the microswitch is signalling correctly.

9.0 - RATING PLATE DATA

The user is obliged to keep the marking of the valve clearly visible: any coatings or
