ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
ADULT ASSEMBLY REQUIRED.
USE CARE WHEN UNPACKING AS COMPONENTS TO
BE ASSEMBLED MAY POSE A SMALL PARTS/SHARP
EDGE HAZARD.
BATTERY ALREADY INSTALLED IN VEHICLE.
ASSEMBLY
1 • Place from bumper on body and tighten four
screws as shown in the drawing.
2 • Take out the 2 bulbs placed on the bottom of
the rear part of the vehicle (in the area of the
shock absorbers). Proceed by inserting the
bulbs into the rear bumper, as shown in the
figure.
3 • Place rear bumper on body.
4 • Tighten three screws as shown in the drawing.
5 • Put the tool box on the bonnet and fix it as
shown in the figure.
6 • Assemble the two parts of the steering wheel.
7 • Insert the steering wheel on the steering wheel
column.
8 • Align steering wheel column holes with
steering wheel: nut fits into haxagon hole, bolt
into round hole.
9 • Insert the windscreen.
10 • Secure it by means of the two screws.
11 • Fit the removable seat cover as shown in the
figure.
12 • Hook the front elastic bands.
13 • Position the other two elastic bands.
14 • Place seat on body. Adjust seat position. Secure
it with washer and thumb nut.
15 • Detach parts A and C of the Roll-Bar; join A to B;
16 • join A-B to the upper section of the Roll-Bar C,
insert and rotate to secure.
17 • Place Roll-Bar on body. Tighten four screws as
shown in the drawing.
18 • Screw the net down to the body.
19 • Snap it around the roll-bar as shown in the
drawing.
20 • Insert the rearview mirrors in the direction
shown by the arrow.
21 • Apply the 2 adhesives nos. 6D and 6S (see
adhesive sheet) to the 2 sides of the bodywork,
as shown in the figure.
22 • On top of these adhesives, place the 2 plastic
signs, pressing down as you do so.
23 • Apply adhesive no.1 (see adhesive sheet) to the
antenna. Insert the antenna, pressing down as
you do so, into its appropriate housing, situated
on the right rear mudguard.
24 • Unscrew the panel.
25 • Once you have removed the panel, fit the
battery (9V -not included) into its holder, taking
care to respect correct polarity.
26 • Connect the wires to the battery. Screw the
panel back on.
27 • Fit the horn unit into the hole in the middle of
the steering wheel.
28 • Remove the radio from its packaging. Unscrew
the cover from the battery chamber. Insert two
1.5 Volt AA batteries (not supplied with the
vehicle) into the compartment, taking care to
position the positive and negative poles
correctly. Close the battery compartment cover
and screw into place.
29 • Insert the wire from the antenna and the radio
into their appropriate housing on the
dashboard, making sure to place them the right
way up, as shown in the figure.
30 • Open the hood. Remove the two screws from
the simulated engine. Remove the simulated
engine.
31 • Plug battery terminal A into vehicle wiring
terminal B.
32 • Lower the imitation motor and screw it down
again. Close the hood, securing it in place with
the 2 hooks. The vehicle is now ready for use.
VEHICLE FEATURES AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
33 • Hood support shaft.
34 • Below the box you can find four removable toy
tools. To remove the box, pull out and unfasten
the four couplings.
35 • A: HORN. Push the yellow button the horn will
sound.
B: RADIO. A real autoradio, which is removable
and can function independently. To switch on,
press button 3 (for AM frequency) or button 4
(for FM frequency). To switch off, press button 5.
To tune the frequency, use control 1. To control
the volume, use control 2. To change the clock,
hold down the SET button, and simultaneously
press down the HOUR button to change the
hour and the MIN button to change the
minutes.
C: SIMULATED START-KEY. The key provided is
only a "toy key" , and does not turn the vehicle
on or off.
D: Accelerator/electric brake pedal. The electric
braking system stops the vehicle automatically
when your child lifts his foot off the pedal.
36 • To unfasten the safety belts:1 push towards the
middle and simultaneously press the button; 2
detach the buckle.
37 • GEAR SHIFT LEVERS: 1: first speed. 2: second
speed. R: reverse.
38 • SECOND SPEED: When the red lock-out is
positioned as shown in the figure, the vehicle
will run in first speed and reverse only. The
turtle on the lock-out is in the up position. To
use the second gear, follow the instructions:
loose the screw on the red lock-out.
39 • Remove the red lock-out.
40 • Rotate it 180° until the hare is in the up
position. Insert the lock-out into the hole
provided.
41 • Tighten the screw. By pushing the gearshift
lever backward, the vehicle moves into second
gear.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
42 • Open the hood. Remove the two screws from
the simulated engine. Remove the simulated
engine.
43 • Unscrew and remove the battery fastener.
44 • Replace the battery. Replace the battery
fastener.
45 • Connect the two plugs.
46 • Replace simulated engine in vehicle and secure
with screw.
BATTERY RECHARGE
WARNING: BATTERY CHARGING AND EVERY OTHER
OPERATION ON THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MUST BE
CARRIED OUT BY ADULTS ONLY.
THE BATTERY CAN ALSO BE CHARGED WITHOUT
REMOVING IT FROM THE TOY.
47 • Disconnect the electrical system terminal A
from the battery terminal B pressing with the
fingers on the sides.
48 • Plug the battery charger terminal to a wall
outlet following the instructions provided.
Connect the terminal B and the battery charger
terminal C.
49 • Once the battery has been recharged, unplug
the battery charger from the wall outlet, then
disconnect terminals C and B.
50 • Connect terminal B and A till you hear the final
click. Once recharging is complete, don't forget
to close the simulated motor with the screw.
REPLACING BULBS (3,5 VOLT)
2 spare bulbs, placed underneath the imitation
motor, are included with the product.To facilitate its
removal, turn the bulb and pull it out at the same
time.
HEADLIGHTS
51 • Remove the glass covering the headlight,
levering it out with a tool.
52 • Take out the non functioning bulb and its
housing. Holding the housing still, unscrew the
bulb and replace it with a spare one. Reposition
the glass covering the front headlight using
pressure.
REARLIGHTS
53 • Remove the glass covering the rearlight,
levering it out with a tool.
54 • Take out the non functioning bulb and its
housing. Holding the housing still, unscrew the
bulb and replace it with a spare one. Reposition
the glass covering the rearlight using pressure.
BATTERY MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY
Before riding, charge your batteries for 18 hours to
initiate them. Failure to do this will result in
permanent battery damage.
CAUTION
Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged
under adult supervision.
Never allow children to handle batteries.
CHARGE BATTERY
• Charge the batteries no longer than 24 hours,
following the instructions enclosed with the
battery charger.
• Charge the battery, as the vehicle shows low
power, in this way you will avoid damage to the
battery.
• If you don't use your vehicle for a long period of
time unplug the battery from the main wire
harness of the vehicle. Remember to charge the
battery at least every three months.
• Never charge the battery upside down.
• Do not forget batteries during charging! Check
them periodically.
• Never use a replacement recharger or batteries
unless they are approved by PEG PEREGO.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Batteries are sealed and maintenance free.
• Battery polarity must be observed when
connecting battery to wiring.
WARNING
• BATTERIES CONTAIN TOXIC AND CORROSIVE
SUBSTANCES. DO NOT TAMPER WITH THEM.
• Batteries contain an acid-based electrolyte.
• Do not make direct contact between battery
terminals, as this can cause an explosion or fire.
• Charging produces explosive gases. Charge
batteries in a well ventilated area away from
sources of heat and flammable materials.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the
vehicle.
• Do not place the batteries near clothing to avoid
damage.
IF A LEAK DEVELOPS
Shield your eyes. Avoid direct contact with the
electrolyte, protect your hands.
Place battery in a plastic bag and follow directions
listed below.
IF ELECTROLYTE COMES IN CONTAC WITH SKIN OR
CLOTHING
Flush with cool water for at least 15 minutes.
See a physician at once.
IF ELECTROLYTE IS INJESTED
Rinse your mouth and spit.
See a physician at once.
DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES
Help protect the environment!
Do not throw used batteries in your regular, house
hold trash.
Dispose of the old batteries in an approved
dumping station; contact your local environmental
protection agency office for further information.
