A. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Assembly
Once you have unpacked your machine, check to make sure that there are no damaged or broken parts. If
there are, have these replaced by original components. Should they be electrical components, exchange
them for officially authorised apparatuses with the same reference number (if in doubt, consult the
manufacturer).
Fit the feet in their housings, ensuring that they rest firmly on the ground.
Hooking up
Check that the voltage and frequency of the machine shown on the characteristics plate match the electric
system (fig. 1).
Coil feeding cable during transport. Never move the machine by tugging at the cable.
B. STARTING THE MACHINE
Items to be checked before starting the machine
Before using this machine, verify that no parts are worn out, damaged or broken. Should you find any
part that is not in proper condition, have it repaired or replaced immediately.
Levelling the machine:
Level the machine by adjusting the altitude regulators at standing level.
C. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1.-
To install or replace the blade, first remove the protective cover to reveal the drive shaft. Insert
the blade (Ø 300 mm) between the blade discs, turning in the direction shown on the machine.
Tighten the screw as illustrated. (fig. 2, 3, 4)
2.-
Fill the base with water until the water pump is completely covered. Working with clean water
gives your blade longer working life and improved performance. (fig. 5)
3.-
Models DR-300 and DR-300-EN are equipped with a table-stand for placing the ceramic tile, and
a sliding motor unit. This system enables you to handle all types of ceramic tile with maximum
precision and comfort. (fig. 6)
4.-
Movement takes place by means of wheels equipped with greased, sealed ball bearings.
5.-
To prevent accidents, shut the motor off when changing from the straight cutting position to that
of mitred cutting (and viceversa), changing cutting height and adjusting stops for repeated cuts.
(fig. 7, 8 and 9)
6.-
To start the machine, press the green button (or marked "I"). To stop it, press the red button
(or marked "0"). (fig. 10)
7.-
Models DR-300 and DR-300-EN have a safety system that protects the motor from overheating.
8.-
If the machine stops for no apparent reason, you will have to wait for a few minutes until the
safety circuit is deactivated; since the machine will probably have been overworked, and you will
need to slow down the cutting afterwards.
9.-
Once the machine is operating, wait until the motor and the water supply by the pump return to
normal (4 or 5 seconds).
10.-
To make correct cuts, guide the blade firmly and evenly, without brusque movements and
without forcing the motor. One incorrect move can break the workpiece and seriously damage
the blade.
11.-
For 45º cuts (mitred cuts), there is a system of mechanical blockage, which enables you to
position the head with great precision. (fig. 11)
12.-
The abrasive cutter effect of models DR-300 and DR-300-EN is brought about by a pivoting of
D. SAFETY MEASURES
1.-
To ensure total safety, use gloves, chest covering, protective goggles and sound protection.
2.-
Never use clothes that might get caught in the blade.
3.-
The forecast equivalent pressure (A) during cutting is lower than 70dB (A). Nonetheless, we
recommend the use of sound protectors.
4.-
This machine complies with Regulation CEI 1029.1, Machine Directive 89/392 and its
modifications and additions according to Directives and 91/368 and 93/44.
5.-
Unplug the machine before attempting any adjustment, service or maintenance task. Use only
with a differential with FI protection connector.
6.-
Keep the worksite clean. Untidy work areas and benches can cause accidents and damage.
7.-
Never risk leaving the machines out in the rain or snow.
8.-
Do not use the machine in wet or damp places.
9.-
Keep the worksite well lit at all times.
10.-
Never use the machine around inflammable liquids or gases.
11.-
Avoid physical contact with surfaces which are framed or connected to earth.
12.-
Prevent anyone not involved with the work at hand, especially children, from touching the
machine and the extensible cables. Keep unauthorised personnel away from the worksite.
13.-
When not in use, the machine should be stored in a closed, dry place, out of the reach of children.
14.-
This machine will provide better, safer performance if used only for the task for which it has been
E. MAINTENANCE
Cleaning and maintenance
To keep your machine in good condition, we recommend that you clean it with water after using it and run clean water through the cooling system.

Applications
Use: Models DR-300 and DR-300-EN are professional precision machines for the straight or mitred
cutting of building materials, and work by means of a guided bearing system. Such cuts are made with
water-cooled diamond blades.
Recommendations concerning the work area
Pay close attention to the state of the area where the job is to be done. Keep it clean and well lit. The
machine should be kept clean at all times in order to ensure optimum performance and the safest
working conditions.
Check that the stops of the machine are perpendicular to the blade. These are regulated before leaving
the factory. Ensure that the voltage and frequency of the machine shown on the characteristics plate
match the electric system.
The electrical outlet must have an earth connection and protection in the event of leaking (differential).
When using an extension, check that the cable section is at least 2.5 mm².
the motive unit and a system of mechanical blocking. The weight of the motor is balanced by an
opposed spring. (fig. 12 and 13)
13.-
When the chassis is fixed in place, the moveable stop will be adapted to turn between -45º, 0º
and 45º. This enables you to firmly position the workpieces to be cut, and to make repeated cuts.
(fig. 14 and 15)
14.-
For the proper functioning of models DR-300 and DR-300-EN work on level floor surfaces. If the
floor is uneven, compensate it by using the table regulators. (fig. 16)
15.-
Never use diamond blades that are cracked or chipped.
16.-
Never use lateral pressure to stop the blades.
17.-
Read these instructions carefully before using this product. Keep them in a safe place for future
reference.
18.-
Keep cutting tools clean and sharp for better, safer performance.
- Carefully follow instructions when changing accessories.
- Periodically check the cables of this machine. Should they show signs of damage or wear and
tear, have them repaired at an authorised technical service outlet.
- Keep holders clean, dry and free of grease and oil.
19.-
Remove wrenches and tools before switching on the machine.
20.-
Make sure that the switch is in the "open" position when plugging in the machine.
21.-
When using the machine outdoors, use only extensible cord designed for this purpose.
22.-
Before using a machine again, check carefully to ensure that it is in proper working order for the
task you have in mind for it. Any damaged element, whether protective or not, should be
repaired or replaced by an authorised technical service outlet, unless otherwise specified in this
instruction manual. Do not use the machine if it cannot be switched on and off.
designated.
15.-
Use the machine correctly. Do not force a small machine to do the work of a larger one. Do not
use this machine for purposes other than those described in the instructions for use.
16.-
Do not wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery which could become caught in the machine's
moving parts. Anti-slip footwear is recommended when working outdoors. Use protective caps
for long hair.
17.-
Use protective goggles, faceshields or masks to avoid dust in cutting operations. Never tug at the
cable in order to disconnect the machine. Keep the cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
18.-
Stand firmly on the floor and be careful at all times not to lose your balance.
19.-
Keep a close eye on what you are doing, use your common sense and do not use the machine
when tired
20.-
The use of any accessory or complement other than those recommended in this instruction
manual may be hazardous.
21.-
This electric tool complies with the pertinent safety requirements. Repairs should only be made
by qualified staff using original replacement parts. Otherwise, the user risks considerable injury.
