5. Wait while the SPM250 is being connected to the
selected network.
12.2.2 Point to point (Ad Hoc)
Point to Point (AD HOC) connection is used to connect two devices through a wireless network without the needing of a
router. In this connection the unit SPM250 works as a WiFi Router. Follow these steps to complete the connection:
1. Select a connection profile and select the optoin "Point to Point (Ad Hoc).
2. SPM250 will assign a name to the WiFi network and no password will be assigned.
3. You can change the network name assigned. Select "Wireless SSID" and press "Enter" button. A virtual keyboard apears
to enter the new network name.
4. You can also assign a WEP password to the wireless network. Select "Shared password (WEP)" and press "Enter". Enter
the password in the virtual keyboard and press "OK (SKey)" to confirm and save the changes. The lenght of the ASCII pass-
word is 10 characters; the Hex code lenght is 26 characters.
5. The IP assigned automatically to the SPM250 under Ad Hoc mode appears in the screen.
6. When the connection setup of the SPM250 unit finishes, you can access from the device to the PC without the needing
of a Modem or of a Wifi Router.
Note: When you enter a password in WEP shared key, you can choose between "OK (Open)" or "OK (SKey)". Check the
Wireless setup of your router to know the authentication mode you have to choose. If you don´t know how to access to
your router settings, select "OK (Open)" option and if you can not connect, select "OK (Skey)".
13. Share files
Please note these points are required to share files between the PC or laptop and your SPM250:
1. The PC or laptop must be powered on and connected through a network.
2. The folder which includes the files you want to share must be shared through the network.

Step 1: Right click on the folder you want to share in your PC
or laptop. Select "Share and security" option.
