MAGNAT SIGNATURE ICT/IWT LOUDSPEAKERS - SPECIALLY DESIGNED FOR
CEILING FITTING/WALL MOUNTING
Magnat SIGNATURE ICT/IWT speakers have an ingenious clamping mechanism that enables you to easily
fit them into a hole cut into a baffle. The easiest way to mount these speakers is in a ceiling or wall made
of plasterboard or other similar material. When using an opening in a masonry wall, a plaster or timber
board is also needed. For the fitting dimensions, please see the technical data given at the end of the
manual. The clamping mechanism is suitable for walls 10 to 30 mm thick.
Removing the grille
The protective grille is attached to the speaker baffle via magnets and can be easily removed without
using any tools.
Mounting the speaker (fig. 1)
The clamping mechanism for attaching the speaker can be accessed after removing the protective grille.
Loosen the screws and move the clamps to position A. After placing the appliance in the cut-out hole,
tighten the screws. This automatically turns the clamps to position B and tightens them.
TIPS REGARDING THE INSTALLATION LOCATION
SIGNATURE IWT 162 / IWT 262
These speakers are designed for wall mounting. Both models can be used in both a vertical and horizontal
orientation. The IWT 262, in particular, is ideal for horizontal installation as a center speaker in a home
cinema setup.
Generally speaking, the installation height should be roughly level with your ear when you are seated at
your preferred listening position.
Possible installation options are shown in fig. 2.
SIGNATURE ICT 62
This speaker is designed for ceiling installation and is ideal for use as an effect/overhead speaker in
sophisticated home cinema installations. The speaker unit is angled at 15 degrees to the mounting
surface. This makes it easy to align the speaker to the listening position (see fig. 3). "Swivel" technology
allows the tweeter to be pivoted up to 15 degrees (fig. 4). This enables the directional characteristics to be
adapted to suit the spatial conditions present.
