The specified values for StepDIM and AstroDIM are stored in the electronic balance unit (default values).
These values can be modified using the OSRAM interface controller "DALI magic" (DALI/USB) and the
"3DIM Tool" software. Neither of these are included in the scope of delivery for the EduTrainer
Even when connected correctly, the AstroDIM function will not be activated until an uninterrupted on-time of
4 h is exceeded.
Warning
Strong optical radiation may cause severe damage to the eyes. Do not look into
the lamp when it is switched on.
Warning
Hot surface temperatures can cause burns. Allow the lamp and any hot housing
parts to cool down before touching them.

Power reduction via StepDIM function
The StepDIM function allows you to turn the electronic ballast unit down to a value saved in the control
unit using a switch or relay. Because of the ways high-pressure-discharge lamps work, very slow
processes (long dimming times) are required otherwise the light arc would tear off inside the lamp.
