Preparing the wire and making
connections with it
Strip 5-8 mm / approx. 1/8" of insulation from the ends of the wires, twist the
wire strands together and push them from above into the opening on the terminal
clip after pressing the latter in on the back of the Control Unit. Do not push the
wires in so far that insulation is in the terminal clips. When you release the terminal
clips, the wires will remain fixed in place and contact is thereby produced with the
Control Unit. On the Delta-Control 4f (66045) the yellow and the brown connecting
wire is already permanently connected to the unit.
Connect the brown wire to the left output on the special plug. Connect the yellow wire
to the right output on the special plug. Here, you must also strip 5-8 mm / approx. 1/8"
of insulation from the ends of the wires, twist the wire strands together, push them into
the openings on the output and tighten the set screws to hold them in place.
3.2.3 Transformer 60 VA for Conventional Control of Solenoid Accessories.
If the output of the transformer is used to connect any other electrical consumers, e.g.
points, level crossings, signals, lamps etc., it must not under any circumstances also
be used to power any Märklin Systems components (Mobile Station, Central Station,
Booster) whatsoever.
Attention: the brown earth connection from Märklin Systems to the track is not con-
nected to the same potential as the brown earth connection used for the connection
of conventional magnetic articles.
Connect the brown wire to the left output on the special plug. Connect the yellow wire
to the right output on the special plug. Here, you must also strip 5-8 mm / approx.
1/8" of insulation from the ends of the wires, twist the wire strands together, push
them into the openings on the output and tighten the set screws to hold them in
place. Important! Do not mix up the yellow and the brown wires. As you look at both
connections from the back, the yellow wire must always be on the right side and the
brown wire must always be on the left side.
