UNPACK

Verify integrity of the pack at the moment of the reception of the apparatus. Verify that in the
packaging all the parts and the supplied accessories of series are contained together with the
apparatus: power cords, neon lamp, set of nozzles (3 pcs.) funnel loading sands, technical
documentation and warranty.

INSTALLATION AND USE

Take the apparatus out of the packaging, and place it on a flat surface strong enough to bear
its weight. Do not place the apparatus close to humidity and/or vapor sources (steam
generators, stoves, windows, etc.). Insert the neon lamp inside of cabin in the appropriate
lamp holder (rif. 33 - 34) making a light pressure. Connect the tube of the compressed air to
the connection placed on one side of the unit - MAX 8 BARS (rif. 28). When using our suction
unit, connect the hose of AIRBOX GS in the appropriate connection placed on the back side of
the unit. Then connect the power cord plug of AIRBOX GS to the outlet on the right side of the
microsandblaster (rif. 37). Now connect the power cord of the microsandblaster to the
electrical outlet in your laboratory.
ATTENTION: make sure that the voltage corresponds to the one brought back on the
fabrication name plate placed on the apparatus. Turning on the main switch of the
microsandblaster (rif. 42) will activate all the system. Regulate the aspiration power on the
minimum acting on the power regulator placed on the suction unit (rif. 29)
Use of the nozzles:
Oxides from 25 up to 50 My = nozzle 0.8 milimeter - Small (rif. 22)
Oxides from 50 up to 120 My = nozzle 1.2 milimeter - Medium (rif. 23)
Oxides from 120 up to 250 My = nozzle 1.5 milimeter - Large (rif. 24)
Container with WHITE cap for aluminum oxides from 25 up to 120 My.
BLUE cap container for aluminum oxides from 120 up to 250 My.
LOADING THE CONTAINERS
Unscrew the aluminium stopper of the container for loading (rif. 1) and pour the prechosen
abrasive using the funnel in equipment.
ATTENTION: do not fill over the level reference nut placed on the brass tube inside the
container (rif. 41). Rescrew the aluminium stopper of the container, and make sure the the
threaded surface of the transparent stopper in plexiglass is perfectly clean from eventual
residual of sand: it is advised to clean up after the loading the thread (rif. 3) with a normal
small tooth brusch. Set up the pressure rotating the black pressure regulator, following
symbols +/- (rif. 11), depending on the type of the prechosen abrasive (2/3 bars). Select the
flow of abrasives acting on the on the pneumatic pedal of corresponding colour (rif. 19).

MAINTENANCE

Substitution of the glass protection films: remove the screws (rif. 43) and make roteate the two
disks (rif. the 44); push from the inside of the cabin the glass (rif. 45) upwards, and replace the
sheet of protection (cod. 3109046 - confection of 5 pieces) with a new one, fixing it long the 4
sides with normal transparent adhesive tape, in a perfect contact position with the glass. Then
place the glass in the center making all the operations to the contrary.
Substitution of gloves and sleeves: extract them pulling towards the outside the blue rubber
holder (rif. 21); replace the glove and the sleeve (rif. 20) paying attention that the border of the
glove is accurately inserted in the rabbet of the blue rubber holder. Place the holder again
making a light pressure.
Substitution of the nozzles: unscrew the nut of the nozzle to replace it, controlling that it is of
proper size in relation of the adapted sand in use, and fit it in the appropriate site (rif. 25).
