to use the
slicer/shredder/chipper
This attachment has to be
assembled/dis-assembled off
the machine.

what the cutting plates do
slicer/shredders
Plates
and
are reversible: one
side slices, the other side shreds.
You can slice cheese, carrot, potato,
cabbage, cucumber, courgette,
beetroot, onion. You can shred
cheese, carrot, potato and foods of
a similar texture. Your chosen
cutting side must be
uppermost.
thin (julienne style) chipper
This plate cuts potatoes for Julienne
style French fries and firm
ingredients for salads, garnishes,
casseroles and stir fries (eg carrot,
swede, courgette and cucumber).
extra coarse shredder
coarsely shreds cheese and carrot.
rasping plate
grates parmesan
cheese and potato for German
potato dumplings.
standard chipper
potatoes for thin French fries and
firm ingredients for salads and dips
(eg swede, cucumber).
1 Push the cutting plate onto the shaft
on the underside of the lid. The
desired cutting side must be
uppermost.
2 Fit the lid onto the bowl, feed tube
towards the back then turn
clockwise until the indicating arrows
line up

If you experience difficulty fitting the
lid, lift the lid then rotate slightly and
try again.
3 Lift the latch bar into position.
4 Lift off the medium speed outlet

5 With the feed tube furthest away
from you, place the attachment onto
the mixer and turn clockwise until it
drops into position, then turn further
to lock
6 Choose which feed tube you want to
use. The pusher contains a smaller
feed tube for processing individual
items or thin ingredients.

First put the large pusher inside the
feed tube.
to use the large feed tube

Use both pushers together.
7 Put the food into the feed tube.
8 Switch on and push down evenly
with the pusher - never put your
fingers in the feed tube. For
most operations use speed 1 or 2. If
more power is required increase to
speed 3.
