Using the Burr Grinder

Turn grind setting dial to 1. Place
fingers along ridges at the top of
the removable grinding wheel. Turn
clockwise until the wheel stops. Lift
out and clean with a small soft-bristle
brush. After cleaning, place grinding
wheel in chamber. Turn wheel
counterclockwise until you see
9 on the grind setting dial.
NOTE: Always use a soft-bristle
brush to clean the grinding wheel.
Grinding wheel cannot get wet. Never
use soap and water to clean grinding
wheel.
Tips for Best Use
NOTE: Cover will become cloudy
with use.
• For best flavor, store coffee beans in
an airtight container.
• Grind only the amount of beans that you
need for brewing, since the flavor and
smell of ground coffee changes with
exposure to air and other food items.
• Grind amounts will vary by cup setting
and grind setting.
• To ensure optimal grinding performance,
allow burr grinder to cool for at least
1 minute between uses.

NOTE: The grinder will take longer
to grind the finer the coarseness
selected.
• Coffee flavor and strength is a personal
preference. Vary the type of coffee
beans, amount of coffee, and fineness
of grind to find the flavor you prefer.
• If espresso is brewing too fast in your
pump machine, lower the grind setting.
• Use lower numbers on grind setting dial
when grinding light, dry beans.
• Use higher numbers on grind setting
dial when grinding dark, oily beans.
