TOP MOUNT UNDERMOUNT WASTE & RECYCLING
Installation Instructions
Inspect all parts and read all instructions prior to beginning assembly and installation.
Step 1:
Install the drawer slides by mounting the slide to the face frame and utilizing the rear mounting brackets to attach the slides in the back of the cabinet. Use
two #7 X 5/8" screws per slide to attach the slides to the face frame and three #6 X 1⁄2" screws for each of the rear mount brackets. Be sure to position the
slides level at a height that ensures the trash bin will clear the cabinet opening when in place.
Step 2:
Attach the drawer slide release clips to the drawer box as shown in illustration 1 using two #6 X 1⁄2" screws per clip. Be sure the clips are placed in the front
corners of the drawer box.
Step 3 (optional).
If using the door mount brackets, slide the brackets through the slotted holes in the front of the drawer box. Attach the brackets using the enclosed #8 X 1⁄2"
screws. Pilot holes are in place. Tighten the rear hole but leave the front screw loose as this will allow for angle adjustment once the door is in place. See
illustration 2.
Step 4
Extend the installed drawer slides and place the drawer box onto the slides, making sure the release clips lock onto the slides. Installation is complete unless
using the door mount.
Step 5 (optional, attaching door)
Before removing door from cabinet, measure the distance between the top of the door and the bottom of the drawer front (see Illustration 3, dimension "A" .)
Step 6 (optional, attaching door)
With the door mount brackets assembled to the drawer box, measure the distance from the bottom of the existing drawer front to the middle of the top slot in
the door mount bracket, (see Illustration 3, dimension "B").
Subtract dimension "A" from dimension "B" . This is the distance of the top two mounting holes from the top of your door. With your pencil, draw a line at this
distance from the top of the door on the left and right side of the back of the door frame. Also, draw a line 7-1/2" below each of these lines, the distance to the
second mounting hole.
Step 7 (optional, attaching door)
Find the middle of the door left to right. Measure 7-9/16" on each side of the middle and mark the corresponding point on each of the two lines that were
drawn on the door. These four points are the locations for the pilot holes for mounting the door and should all be on the frame of the door. Hold the door up to
the door mount brackets with the drawer box extended to verify that the hole locations line up.
Step 8 (optional, attaching door)
Using your 3/32" drill bit, drill 1⁄2" deep holes at these four locations, being sure not to drill completely through the door. Finally, screw the door to the door
mount brackets using the #8X1/2" screws provided.
