Muchas cámaras fotográficas digitales y programas de edición de imágenes añaden datos ocultos a los ficheros .JPG (meta datos). Esto se debe a que el fichero que se intenta visualizar tiene el problema descrito en el punto 1, o no es un fichero de imagen aunque se le haya dado la extensión JPG.
