5. Plug in the electricity cable and put the switch in the "I" (ON) position. The indicator light will switch on. The appliance
will start to work. The coffee preparation process can be interrupted at any time by putting the switch in the "O" (OFF)
position. The indicator light will switch off. The appliance will restart when the switch is returned to the "I" position.
6. When the coffee is ready, you can remove the jug and serve the coffee.
Note: Take care when serving the coffee as coffee that has just been made is very hot. The quantity of coffee obtained
is less than the quantity of water added to the tank as the coffee grounds themselves absorb water. With safety in
mind, it is better to close the jug lid when serving coffee. This also helps to keep the coffee hot.
7. After making and serving the coffee, you can replace the jug on the heating plate. Once the coffee maker has finished
making the coffee, the coffee can be kept warm.
8. Always switch off the coffee maker and unplug it from the power supply when not in use.

REMOVING LIMESCALE
To ensure that the coffee maker functions correctly, limescale deposited by the water must be removed regularly. The
frequency with which this has to be carried out will depend on water quality and the amount you use the appliance. You
should proceed in the following way: fill the jug one third full of white vinegar and the remaining two thirds with cold water.
Put this vinegar and water mixture into the water tank. Do not put ground coffee into the filter while using the vinegar and
water solution. Follow the "operating instructions" Repeat this procedure until the mixture collecting in the jug ceases to be
yellow. If necessary, throw away the mixture and clean the appliance with tap water until no vinegar smell remains.
