from the power supply, do not tamper with it and
contact a qualified technician for repair.
• Never immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids.
• If the appliance is dropped in water, do not touch:
turn off the power immediately by activating the
circuit breaker in your home and remove the plug
from the mains before touching the appliance. Do
not use thereafter. Contact a qualified technician
or the PiC Service Centre.
• This appliance does not contain parts which
can be repaired or reused by the purchaser /
end user and may be opened by the PiC Service
centre only.
• In the event of failure or malfunction, switch off
immediately by removing the plug from the power
supply and contact the PiC Service Centre only. Do
not try to open or tamper with the appliance.
• If you decide to no longer use the appliance,
disconnect from the mains and cut off the plug
so to make it inoperative.
• Do not move, raise, tilt, clean or perform mainte-
nance operations when the appliance is in operation
or connected to the mains or still hot.
• Do not dispose of this product as normal household
waste: recycle in line with EC laws and directives
for electrical appliances.
• Use caution when the appliance is in operation:
never remove the water tank or vapour duct, which
must be positioned as described in "PREPARA-
TION AND USE".
• Clean and dry after every use.
• Store as indicated in "Cleaning and Maintenance"
if left unused for extended periods.
• This appliance should not be used by people
(including children) with impaired physical, sen-
sorial or mental abilities or experience, unless
supervised and instructed in its use by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
• To avoid risk of fire, do not place the power cable
under rugs or near radiators, fires or heaters.
• Ensure that the water tank and vapour outlet
duct are in place before use, to avoid irreparable
damage and risk of burns.
• Do not keep the humidifier in excessively low
temperatures (<5°C).
PREPARING AND
USING THE DEVICE
• Place the humidifier near an easily accessible
mains socket on a flat, horizontal surface out of
reach of children.
Note: do not place on surfaces which might be
damaged by heat or humidity (rugs and carpets,
valuable furnishings, wooden flooring, etc.)

• Check that the power cable "n" plug is discon-
nected from the mains supply.
• Remove the tank "g" (1) and unscrew the cap
"l" (2).
• Fill the tank "g" with cold drinking water or
distilled water (3).
Note: use drinking or distilled water only. Do not add
any other liquid or substance. Never add essential
oils or other substances to the water in the tank
"g", as this might cause irreparable damage.
• Screw the cap "l" to the bottom of the tank
"g" (4).
• Check that the vapour outlet duct "m" is correctly
inserted (5) as specified in "General warnings".
• Insert the tank "g" into the appliance (6).
Note: The water tank "g" weighs about 5.5 kg
when full. Grip firmly with both hands when
handling.
Note: the water will take a few minutes to fill the
heating chamber "h" completely.
• Connect the power cable "n" plug to the appli-
ance power inlet (7), pushing it in fully.
• Plug the power cable "n" plug into an easily
accessible wall socket.
• Press the on/off switch "a" (8): the green light "b"
will light up. The appliance will begin to operate
in the hot steam mode.
Note: hot steam will begin to issue from the
outlet grill "d" only some minutes after turning
the appliance on.
Note: Boiling steam capable of causing severe
scalds to people and animals will be emitted from
the vapour outlet grill "d". Do not handle, move,
lift, tilt or perform any other operations while
the appliance is running and steam is emitted;
keep face and limbs away from the vapour outlet
grill "d".
• If liked, add some drops of aromatic oil in the
essential oil holder "e" (9) to diffuse a pleasant
fragrance.
Note: Take care not to spill aromatic oil on the outer
part of the water tank "g" or the vapour outlet grill
"d": this could cause irreparable damage.
• When the tank "g" is empty or there is insufficient
water in the humidifier, the appliance will stop
emitting steam, the red low water light "c" will
light up, the green light "b" will go out and the
appliance will turn itself off automatically. Unplug
the power cable "n" and refill the tank "g".
Note: never remove the tank "g" before turn-
ing off the appliance with the on/off switch "a"
and unplugging the power cable "n" from the
mains supply.
• This appliance is fitted with a safety switch on
its base. If the appliance is lifted it will switch
off automatically.
Note: the water in the heating chamber "h" may
continue to boil for a few minutes after turning
