•The first time you use the PA982, you must activate the LCD heater switch. When
activated, LCD heater will turn on automatically when the temperature is lower
than -10 °C.

Open the battery compartment by removing the four screws that secure the
battery compartment cover (A) and removing the cover (B).

Locate the backup battery switch and LCD heater switch and turn them both
on.
