1.3. PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT

ATTENTION! Splinters and sparks may cause injuries.
a)
Always wear a protective mask with side shield.
b)
Always wear appropriate protective clothes in order
to protect your body.
c)
Always wear earplugs or other hearing protection
in order to prevent the splinters from entering your
ears.
d)
The electric arc in the cutting process generates
large amounts of both visible and invisible radiation
(ultraviolet and infrared radiation) that can damage
the eyes and skin.
e)
During plasma-cutting, it is required to wear clean,
oil-free protective clothes, e.g.: leather gloves, thick
shirt, high boots and protective hood
f)
Always use face protection (helmet or shield) and eye
protection with glass with appropriate tint, acting as
filter and protecting the eyes during cutting.
g)
Safety standards propose tint no. 9 (no. 8 at
minimum) for every current intensity below 300 A.
A lower shield tint may be used if the arc covers the
workpiece.
h)
Always use permitted safety goggles with side shield
under the helmet or another protection.
i)
Use workplace shields in order to protect other
people against blinding light or splinters.
j)
Warn bystanders not to look at the electric arc.
k)
It is not recommended to use the device without
prior consultation with a doctor by people with a
pacemaker or other implanted medical device.
ATTENTION! Electric arc radiation may damage
eyesight and skin.

1.4. PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTRIC SHOCK

ATTENTION! Electric shock can be lethal!
a)
The power cable must be connected to the nearest
socket and placed in a practical and secure position.
Positioning the cable negligently in the room and on
a surface which was not checked must be avoided, as
it can lead to electrocution or fire.
b)
Touching electrically charged elements can cause
electrocution or serious burns.
c)
The electrical arc and the working area are electrically
charged during the power flow.
d)
The input circuit and inner power circuit of the
devices are also under voltage charge when the
power supply is turned on.
e)
The elements under the voltage charge must not be
touched.
f)
Dry, insulated gloves without any holes and
protective clothing must be worn at all times.
g)
Insulation mats or other insulation layers, big enough
as not to allow for body contact with an object or the
floor, must be placed on the floor.
h)
The electrical arc must not be touched.
i)
Electrical power must be shut down prior to cleaning
or electrode replacement.
j)
It must be checked if the earthing cable is properly
connected or the pin is correctly connected to the
earthed socket. Incorrect earthing connection can
cause life or health hazard.
k)
The power cables must be regularly checked for
damage or lack of insulation. Damaged cables must
be replaced. Negligent insulation repair can cause
death or serious injury.
l)
When the product is not in use, turn off all input
power supplies.
m)
The cable mustn't be wrapped around the body.
n)
The object which is being cut must be properly
grounded.
EN
o)
Only equipment in good condition can be used.
p)
Damaged device elements must be repaired or
replaced.
q)
Safety belts must be used when working at height.
r)
All fittings and safety elements must be stored in one
place.
s)
From the moment of turning on the release, the
handle end must be kept away from the body.
t)
Attach the operating cable to the proper metal
contact of the element being cut (not to the element
that may fall off) or to the work table close to the
plasma cutter as much as needed.
u)
The working clamp is to be insulated, unless it
is connected to the workpiece, in order to avoid
contact with metal.
v)
The product is intended for indoor use. However, if
it has been exposed to moisture or rain, you should
check if water droplets have fallen in, which may
result in an accident.
w)
The voltage in the input capacitor must be checked
upon turning off the device and disconnecting it
from the power source. One must make sure that the
voltage value is equal to zero. Otherwise, the device
elements must not be touched.
x)
Do not get the device wet.
ATTENTION! The device can still be under voltage
upon feeder disconnection.
ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.

3. OPERATION NOTES
3.1. GENERAL NOTES
The device must be applied according to its purpose,
with observance of OHS regulations and restrictions
resulting from data included in the rating plate (IP
level, operation cycle, supply voltage, etc.).
The producer does not bear any responsibility for
technical changes in the device or material losses
caused by the introduction of the said changes.
In case of incorrect device operation, contact the
service centre.
Do not block the ventilation slots - place the device
20cm from the wall and 30cm from surrounding
objects.
The tilt of the surface on which the device is placed
should not exceed 15 degrees.
Protect the device against rain, moisture and direct
sunlight.
Do not direct sparks onto the device.
Do not hold the device under your arm or near the
body.
The device must not be installed in rooms with
aggressive environments, high dustiness and near
devices with high electromagnetic field emission.
Keep fingers, hair, and clothing away from the
rotating fan.
The plasma cutter must be earthed for operation.
If the thermal overload LED lights up while you are
working with the device, stop working immediately
and wait for the device to cool down.
When the plasma cutter is used for a long time or
with a high current, turn the power off only after the
device has cooled down.
Do not turn off the plasma cutter while cutting!
Regularly maintain the device and clean the interior
of dust.
WORK CYCLE:
The duty cycle is the percentage of the operating time
(measured in minutes) of a 10-minute period in which
the machine is used continuously in normal temperature
conditions. If the values of the duty cycle are exceeded, this
will trigger the overheat protection function, which stops
the machine until it is cooled down to normal operating
temperature. Repeated situations of exceeding the duty
cycle values may lead to serious damage of the machine.

3.2. CONNECTING THE POWER

Connecting the device must be performed by a
qualified person. In addition, a person with required
qualifications should check if the earthing or
electrical installation with protection system is in
line with the safety regulations and if they operate
correctly.
The device must be placed near the work station.
Connection of excessively long conduits to the
machine must be avoided. Too long wires with a
small cross-section will cause voltage drops and
incorrect operation of the device.
