5. THE FILTERING-REDUCTION UNIT INSTALLATION AND
SERVICE
The filtering-reduction unit installation and service:
Please note: Some models already have a filter-reduction
unit installed at the back of the unit.
1.
Remove the plugs from the holes in the filtering-
reduction assembly and screw the copper gas
nozzles into the gas inlet and outlet openings.
2.
Screw the pressure gauge into the appropriate
opening of the filtering-reduction assembly.
3.
Using the bolts and nuts, attach the handle of the
filter-reduction assembly to the frame at the back of
the plasma cutter.
4.
Install the filter-reduction assembly in the holder and
secure the connection with a nut.

The filtering-reduction unit service
1.
To adjust the gas pressure, lift the knob, turn it to the
desired pressure value, then push the knob back to
its original position.
2.
If water collects in the gas filter tank, open the valve
at the bottom of the tank to allow the water to drain.
A suitable water container should be provided in
advance to protect the device and the floor against
splashes.
6. CABLE CONNECTIONS
1.
Make sure that the On/Off switch on the back of the
device is in the "Off" position. Connect the device to
the power supply according to the information on
the nameplate.
2.
Make sure that the air pressure adjustment knob
is set to the minimum. Connect the compressed
air supply in accordance with the data given in the
technical data table.
3.
Connect the gun as shown in the figure above.
4.
Connect the ground cable, taking care that the
clamp is securely attached to the workpiece object.

7. CUTTING OPERATION
1.
Set the power ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
2.
Adjust the pressure with the knob on the filtering-
reduction unit.
3.
Set the appropriate cutting current according to the
workpiece thickness and process requirements.
4.
Set the GAS/CUT switch to the CUT and select the
2T/4T burner operating mode:
•
2T - short-term cutting. The cutting process begins
after pressing the button on the gun, releasing the
button ends cutting
•
4T- long-term cutting. Pressing the button on the
gun starts the cutting process, releasing the button
does not interrupt cutting. To finish the cutting
process, press and release the button on the gun
again
5.
Pull the trigger of the cutting gun, you should hear
the noise of the outgoing air.
CAUTION: when firing the gun, always direct its
outlet to a safe place.
6.
You can start cutting the material.
7.
If the device overheats, the protection system will
work. The LED will light up on the control panel. It is
only after cooling the device that it can be restarted.
8.
After cutting, always turn the device off.
8. DISPOSING OF PACKAGING
The various items used for packaging (cardboard, plastic
straps, polyurethane foam) should be kept, so that the
device can be sent back to the service centre in the best
possible condition in case of any problems!

9. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
Shaking, crashing and turning the device upside down
should be prevented when it is transported. Store it in a
properly ventilated surrounding with dry air and without
any corrosive gas.
10. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
•
Always unplug the device before cleaning and when
the device is not in use.
•
Use cleaners without corrosive substances to clean
each surface.
•
Dry all parts well before the device is used again.
•
Store the unit in a dry, cool place, free from moisture
and direct exposure to sunlight.
CAUTION: all activities on the device should be
carried out at least 5 minutes after finishing work to
allow the device to cool down.
Periodic maintenance
Periodic maintenance is necessary for the device to
function properly.
WARNING! Switch off the machine and disconnect it
from power supply before starting maintenance.

11. CHECK REGULARLY THE DEVICE
If there is any damage, please stop using the device. Please
contact your customer service to solve the problem. What
to do in case of a problem?
Please contact your customer service and prepare following
information:
•
Invoice number and serial number (the latter is to be
found on the technical plate on the device).
•
If relevant, take a picture of the damaged, broken or
defective part.
•
It will be easier for your customer service clerk to
determine the source of the problem if you give
a detailed and precise description of the matter.
The more detailed your information, the better the
customer service will be able to answer your problem
rapidly and efficiently!
