Unscrew the tube retention collar from the diverter valve; insert the opposite side
of the tubing through the collar and then firmly into the diverter valve. Reinstall
the tube retention collar, ensuring that it sits tight on the diverter valve.

Place the RWF-228 filter on a flat counter surface near the Sink with the water
spout pointing into the sink, turn on the COLD water faucet and divert the water
through the filter by turning the diverter valve's "butterfly" handle 90°. Check
for leaks.

Run COLD water through the filter for 10 minutes to expel excess air and saturate
the CMF cartridge. Running water will allow trapped air to escape, reduce drips
and the "run-on" of water after when the filter is turned off and will expel any
loose carbon particles.

NOTE: To stop the flow through the filter,
turn off the faucet or turn the "butterfly"
handle in the opposite direction.
NOTE: The color of the water may change
temporarily, but the water is still safe to
drink.
