Installation and use of the floats
-
Mode with two floats:
The float A is not used, the respective terminals (1 and 2) must remain disconnected.
The float B gives the run command for the first pump, while the float C gives the run command for the second
pump.
An impulse is sufficient to start the pumps; they will both be deactivated when the float B is in minimum position.
-
Mode with three floats:
The float A keeps the pumps operating even after the run floats have been deactivated. Deactivation by A switches
off the pumps only if B and C are deactivated.
The floats B and C give the run command for the first and the second pump respectively.
An impulse is sufficient to start the pump, which will be deactivated only after deactivation of the float A.
With the exchange module SZ2 inserted, the identification pump 1 and pump 2 is indicative because the starting
order of the pumps will be inverted at every intervention of the run floats.
With one of the pump block red warning lights lit, the other pump is activated anyway (only for drainage mode).
-
Float against dry running N: its function is to stop the pumps to avoid damage; if it is not used, a jumper must
be fitted on terminals 21 and 22.
-
Pressure switch for maximum pressure R: its function is to stop the pumps to avoid damage; if it is not used, a
jumper must be fitted on terminals 35 and 36.
8.10
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 switched on (selector SA1 and SA2 in
position
The electronic module SZ2 prepares panel operation as follows
Automatic exchange at start of the starting order of the two pumps and switchover in the event of a malfunction
(intervention of the KK, of the probe sensor S, of the motor protector QM).
Luminous indication of the state of the controls by means of a green led ref. LL1 (present on the module SZ2) as follows
LL1 off when the float N or the pressure switch R is deactivated (both pumps stopped);
LL1 on with a fixed light when the float N or the pressure switch R is active, while the floats B and C are
deactivated (both pumps stopped);
LL1 emits 1 impulse every second when the float N or the pressure switch R is active, while one of the floats B
or C is activated (one pump running);
LL1 emits a double impulse every second when the float N or the pressure switch R is active, while the floats B
and C are activated (both pumps running);
Remember that, in both cases, when the Module SZ2 is switched on the starting order of the two pumps is
inverted at each start, so the identifications P1 and P2 are indicative.
8.11
Panel operation with electronic module SZ2 disconnected from the electric panel
Connect the connector XC1 to the connector XC2
The electropump start and stop commands are given directly by the two floats or thermostats:
The float B directly controls the electropump P1;
The float C directly controls the electropump P2;
IMPORTANT:
Panel operation limits set operation as follows
-
The float cables must not be more than 10m long
-
The function of the minimum level float is excluded
-
Any repeated starts will no longer be controlled
-
Where there are consents of the terminals K-K for thermal protection of the electropumps
protections stops the pump, but does not activate the other one.
It is advisable to substitute the module SZ2 after a short time.

USING THE PANEL TO FEED IN-LINE CIRCULATING PUMPS
To set the panel operation for in-line pumps or for booster sets it is indispensable to remove the jumper O connected to
terminals 23-24.
Calibrate ref. QM1 and QM2 according to the data plate values of the circulator.
