11.- Z1-Z2-Z3-Z4-Z5-COM: socket for connection of 15 V DC power supply provided.
12.- USB: USB port for connecting to a computer. It depends on the CHIME/PROG selector.
13.- CHIME/PROG: operating mode selector connected to the computer.
- CHIME: allows the chime to be modified using a computer.
- PROG: allows the microphone firmware to be updated.
14.- Microswitches for configuring the operating of the microphone.
- MSG ON/OFF: activates/deactivates the broadcasting of prerecorded messages.
- OFF: SLAVE/ ON: MASTER: in MASTER mode if the MZ-648 is selected, it has paging priority over
other MZ-648 microphones that are configured as SLAVE.
15.- LINK: output terminal for connection in cascade of a MZ-648 microphone.
16.- OUTPUT: input terminal for connection with the amplifier MPZ-6480RGU or with another MZ-648
microphone in cascade.
17.- AUX INPUT: aux audio input. When one or several zones are activated, it can be used to play external
audio instead of paging or the mix with the announcement itself.
18.- MIC VOL: microphone output level control.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
MZ-648 MICROPHONE CONNECTION
Connect the MZ-648 microphone OUTPUT to the PAGING MIC MZ-648 INPUT 2 on the MPZ-6480RGU
amplifier using the data cable provided.
NOTE: it is recommended to use good quality Cat 6/6a/7 cables with FTP/SFTP shielding.
The microphone requires 15 V DC power supply provided by the mains adapter supplied.
It is possible to connect up to 3 MZ-648 microphones to the system. These microphones are connected in
cascade between the LINK output of the first microphone and the OUTPUT of the next.
