NOTE 1: Some kits do not contain all the lights
required by the Department of Transportation. Please
check with your trailer dealer
NOTE 2: If your towing vehicle has rear turn signals
separate from the break light, an electronic turn signal
converter from an automotive accessory supplier will
be required to install this light kit
Towing Vehicle Wiring
1. Disconnect vehicle battery
2. Use short wiring harness for towing vehicle wiring
if needed (tow vehicle does not already have a
4-fat connector or an adapter from a 7 way plus).
Attach white wire to ground (-) location on towing
vehicle using a ground connector and small
mounting screw
3. Attach the yellow wire to the driver's side stop turn
circuit with a blue snap-lock connector
4. Attach the green wire to the passenger's side stop/turn
circuit with a blue snap-lock connector
5. Attach the brown wires to the tail lamp circuit with
a blue snap-lock connector. Note: All connections
should be sealed with electrical tape or fexible
waterproof caulking for extra protection. Note: All

Trailer Light Installation and Wiring
1. Position each light and mark locations on the metal
mounting surface for two ¼˝ holes on 2˝ center (2˝
or 4˝ OC for rectangular trailer lights)
2. Drill holes for mounting screws. Drill hole for wire
access if necessary
3. Slide bolt heads into slots in back or side of
the housing and mount light to trailer frame using
provided hardware
4. Keeping the plug end of the wiring harness at the]
tongue of the trailer, run the brown and yellow
colored wires down the driver/left side of the
trailer. Run the brown and green colored wires
down the passenger/right side of the trailer. Use
3 wire clips on each side to attach wire to the
trailer frame. Wiring should not hang down or drag
on the ground

5. A good ground (-) connection is necessary. Use a
fle or screwdriver blade to remove any rust or
paint from the metal trailer frame where the ground
wire will be mounted. Attach the white wire using a
ground connector and small mounting screw
6. For the driver side light, attach the brown yellow
wire from the harness to the brown wire from the
lamp. Attach the yellow wire from the harness to
the yellow wire from the lamp. Use gray wire nuts
to secure connections
7. For the passenger side light, attach the brown
green wire from the harness to the brown wire from
the lamp. Attach the green wire from the harness
to the green wire from the lamp. Use gray wire nuts
to secure connections
8. Reconnect vehicle battery
9. To test lights, connect vehicle connector plug to
the trailer wiring connector and turn on the
headlights. Both tail lights and corresponding
side markers should illuminate. The brighter break
lights should come on only when the brake pedal
is depressed or when the turn signal is activated
(key must be in "on" position). If lights do not
function, check all ground connections between
vehicle wiring and trailer connector
