Read and understand the following text and warnings before attempting installation.The following installation procedures
assumes that an Accessory Wiring Harness Kit (604221 Electric or 603848 Gas) are present and properly installed.
To reduce the danger of battery explosion, disconnect the positive (+)
first and then the negative (-) battery cable before proceeding.
Wrap wrenches with vinyl tape to prevent the possibility of a dropped
wrench from 'shorting out' a battery, which could result in an explosion
and severe personal injury.
Wear Face shield when working with Batteries.

A. HEAD LAMP SWITCH INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Turn off the vehicle and remove the keys.
2. Remove the seat. Disconnect the positive (+) first and then the negative (-) cable from the battery.
3. Carefully align the Head lamp switch template onto the instrument area of the trim panel, and secure in place with
tape as shown in Figure 1.
4. Use a utility knife to cut the head lamp switch opening.
5. Shape the opening with a dremel file if required to fit in the head lamp switch.
This step is difficult and will require some extra caution to remove the cowl without breaking the locking
tabs on the instrument panel trim.
