Pressure gauge mounting
Before each pressure gauge mounting, the following must be ensured or be on-site:
Clean working surface
All sealing faces and threads are clean and undamaged
1 new sealing set, consisting of O-ring und support ring (5-piece sealing set, article
number 14525042)
High-temperature ceramic paste, WS-600-030 (tube 30 gram, article number 14525042)

Mounting instructions

1. Carefully slide the support ring included in the sealing set and then the O-ring over the
sealing cone and insert it neatly into the groove provided.
2. Apply the high-temperature ceramic paste to the thread of the 360° swivel connection
and the cone
.
3. Before screwing the pressure gauge tight, align the pressure gauge in the 360° swivel
connection (swivel adapter) with the valve by holding the spanner flats

4. Fix the instrumentation valve so that it cannot turn with the pressure gauge as it is
screwed tight.
5. Secure the pressure gauge against turning using the SW 22 open-ended spanner on

torque spanner set to 60 Nm ±5 Nm.
The pressure gauge mounting is now complete. After the last step, the pressure gauge
can no longer be positioned without loosening the EMICOgauge connection again. After
alignment, step 5 must be carried out again.

7.3 Maintenance of instrumentation valve

Valves must be checked within the context of regular maintenance.
Inspection interval
Depending on the process, the ambient conditions and the number of operations, the
required inspection interval may vary from daily to several weeks.
Recommended inspection interval: ≤ 3 months
Inspection checklist
1. Leak test of the process and instrument connections
2. Leak test between bonnet and valve body
3. Function test of correct opening and closing
In case the leak test of item 2 fails, proceed with the adjustment of the sealing packing
described below.
