NOTE: References to left, right, front and rear of the tractor are from the operator's position,
unless otherwise stated.
•
Before assembly, place the tractor on a firm, level surface, disengage the
PTO, stop the tractor engine and set the parking brake.
•
For convenience, pivot the seat
forward and leave it in that position
until the grass collector is fully
mounted and assembled.
Remove Bumper Assembly
1.
Remove bumper assembly. See
Figure 1.
NOTE: Your tractor's bumper assembly
may appear different than pictured.
Refer to your Operator's Manual.
DO NOT re-use mounting hardware from bumper assembly.
Mount Assembly
on Tractor
Install mounting assembly on tractor as
follows:
1.
Secure the mounting brackets to the
tractor using six hex screws (710-
04043) and six flange lock nuts (712-
04063) from hardware pack 689-
00567. See Figure 2.
NOTE: Tighten all of the hardware on the
mounting assembly at this time.
2.
Install universal bracket (783-06168)
with four bolts (710-0276) and four
nuts (712-04063) from hardware pack
689-00567. See Figure 3.
3.
Install the vertical support onto the
mounting assembly on the tractor
by hooking it over the mounting
assembly between the two tabs as
indicated in (1) Figure 4.
4.
Secure the vertical bagger support to
the mounting assembly with a hex
bolt (710-0376) and flange lock nut
(712-04063) from hardware pack
689-00567. See (2) Figure 4.
Install Hanger Assembly
1.
Install and secure hanger assembly
onto the vertical support using two
carriage bolts (710-0276), two cup
washers (736-0242) and two lock

Assembling Remaining
Bagger Components
With the mounting brackets assembled
and in place on the tractor, follow these
steps to assemble the remaining bagger
components.
1.
Tilt the front of the upper chute
support (631-05491B) slightly
forward. Slide the clip behind the
tab, then snap the front latch to the
rail, as shown in (1) of Figure 6.
2.
Snap the upper chute support in
place by first clipping the side
portion onto the bagger support rail.
See (2) in Figure 6.
3.
Slide the left grass catcher cover
(731-12350B) over the upper chute
support and the hanger assembly.
Carefully latch the two tabs in place
into the front of the upper chute
support, see (1) in Figure 7. Fit the
snaps onto the left hanger rail
support. See (2) in Figure 7.
4.
From the front of the assembly, line
up the tabs on the hood assembly
with the tabs at the front of the
upper chute support. Slide the hinge
pin (711-06701) through the slots
beginning at the right side upper
chute support of the mounting tabs,
as in Figure 8. Push the pin all the
way in until it reaches the end-stop.
NOTE: The pin clips into place and is
secured by a tab on each side of the
bagger cover.
5.
Swing the hood assembly down to
close the attachment. Push in on the
rear right-side and rear left-side tabs
and lock them into place under the
notches on each side. Ensure a
secure, snug fit. See Figure 9.
6.
Open the bagger cover by pushing in
on the tabs and lifting the grass
catcher cover. See Figure 10.
7.
Install both grass bag assemblies (664-05104) onto the hanger rail by
inserting the front edge in first, as shown in Figure 11, and setting the back
edge down until it fits into the assembly.
