CAUTION! The device is not designed to work with materials that can generate
flammable or explosive vapors. Such substances should not be centrifuged or kept
within the device.
3.3.1. Impeller chamber
Do not pour any solutions such as water, detergent or disinfectant directly into the
impeller chamber. This will damage the drive unit bearing. If the impeller chamber is
wet, remove the moisture with a soft cloth or sponge. Any dirt in the impeller
chamber should be cleaned with a damp cloth or a sponge using a diluted, neutral
detergent. Leave the device open until it is completely dry.
3.3.2. Drive shaft (crown)
At least once a month, clean the inside of the impeller's drive slot (crown) and the
surface of drive shaft. The crown transmits the driving force to the impeller. If the slot
or the drive shaft is dirty, foreign objects should be removed immediately with a
slightly damp cloth. If left unclean, the impeller may not be fitted correctly and may
fall off during operation.
3.3.3. Housing
Always keep the housing and the worktop clean to prevent dust and other materials
from entering the impeller chamber. For cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge
moistened with a diluted neutral detergent. If any harmful solution enters the
equipment, take the necessary measures in accordance to appropriate laboratory
methods.
3.3.4. Impeller
To prevent corrosion, after finishing work, remove the impeller from the chamber and
remove the impeller lid to dry the inside. If any test tube is spilled inside the impeller,
wash and dry it thoroughly, and then lightly apply engine grease to the impeller. Apply
grease to the threaded parts of the impeller regularly.
