Original operating instructions – ProLux Multi Fit Wheel Heavy Duty Basic / Premium 16 / Premium 17
Attention: The installation of the ProLux Multi Fit Wheel on the driving axle and on all-wheel drive
vehicles is only permitted in conjunction with the Free Wheel Hub (available separately).
Practical tip: If the defective wheel is on a driven axle, replace it with a functioning wheel on a non-driven axle
of the broken-down vehicle. Then mount the Multi Fit Wheel on the non-driven axle.
When mounting on the front axle, make sure that the wheel has sufficient clearance even at full steering angles!
Use on vehicles not mentioned in the allocation list:
Only vehicles for which safe installation is possible and has already been tested are on the allocation list.
In the event that the Multi-Fit ProLux Multi Fit Wheel is installed on a vehicle that has not yet been tested, the
following safety instructions must be observed:
- The Multi-Fit adapter must be carefully centred by tightening the wheel bolts in a crosswise manner.
- The adapter may only be mounted with wheel bolts that have a 60° tapered seat.
- If the original wheel bolts have a different seat (tapered collar, 45° tapered collar, etc.), use the enclosed 60°
taper collar wheel bolts.
- Hand-tighten the wheel bolts and turn the wheel hub by hand, making sure that it is moves freely. Wheel studs
that are too long can block the wheel hub and cause damage.
- Wheel bolts must engage in the wheel hub by at least 5 full turns up to the tightening torque!
- After tightening the wheel bolts to the prescribed torque, turn the wheel hub again by hand and check for free
rotation.
- Mount the ProLux Multi Fit Wheel with the corresponding wheel nuts. The tightening torque is 100 Nm.
- Turn the wheel by hand and check for clearance to the brake calliper and, if mounted on the front axle, check for
clearance to the frame in the wheel well at full steering angles.
- If vehicles have a higher axle load than 1420 kg stated in the vehicle documents, but they are obviously not
loaded, the ProLux Multi Fit Wheel can still be used.
- If the installation is successful and safe, send feedback to ProLux regarding the installation. - Vehicle type,
adapter type, which bolts were used, wheel spacers used, wheel mounting on front or rear axle - used. Likewise
in the event of unsuccessful fitting with information on the problem (e.g. contact of the rim with the brake
calliper etc.).
