TO SWITCH ON THE HEATER
1. Fully open the gas supply cylinder valve.
2. Push in and turn the variable control knob to the PILOT position (90" counterclockwise).
3. Depress the variable control knob and hold for 30 seconds. While holding down the variable
control knob, press the ignition button several times until the pilot flame ignites. Release the
variable control knob after the pilot flame ignites.
Note:
• If a new tank has just been connected, wait at least one minute for the air in the gas line to bleed
through the pilot orifice.
• When lighting the pilot flame, make sure the variable control knob is pushed down continuously
while pressing the ignition button. The variable control knob can be released after the pilot flame is
lit.
• The pilot flame can be observed and controlled from the small round window with sliding cover
located at the bottom of the flame display (on the left or right side of the controller).
• If the pilot flame does not light or goes out, repeat step 3.
4. After the pilot flame lights, turn the variable control knob to the maximum position and leave it
there for 5 minutes or more before turning the knob to the desired temperature position.
