Base Setup

Parts included with base:
• 4 five inch legs black powder coated
• 4 plastic washers for the legs
• Nuflex™ foundation remote
(3 AAA batteries included)
• Battery backup box
• Split king strap (only included
with twin and twin XL bases)
• 2 headboard brackets with parts;
2 attachment plates, 2 plastic
spacers, 4 long bolts 9/16", 4
regular nuts 9/16", 10 short
bolts 9/16", 10 nyloc nuts 1/2"
For easy installation, place the bed base box in desired location with the
bottom of the box facing up.
Remove the binding straps and packing materials, making sure not to
puncture the box with any sharp objects.

If the legs are not desired, skip this step.
If attaching the base to a headboard, see page 13.
If joining two beds (optional), see page 4.
1. Remove the bed base from the box. All
components are located in the boxes attached to the
underside of the base. The warranty certificate is
included with the owner's manual. Please follow the
instructions for warranty registration and save for
your records.
2. Remove the mattress retainer bar attached to the
underside of the frame.
3. To install the legs, thread the washer over the bolt
of the leg with the recessed side facing the leg and
tighten by hand. Be sure not to over-tighten.
Important: Two people are required to move the
bed base. Do not drag across the floor.
