once the trs5000 shows message number 3, and having consecutively
followed the correct switching on sequence (tPh-cloner // trs5000), you
are ready to clone Philips crypto keys (go on to point 5).
4 CONNECTION DIAGRAM FOR TPhClONER + TPX-
ClONER + TRS5000
to connect the 2 cloners (tPh + tPX ) to the trs-5000, you need to have
the following items:
1)
220Vac/12Vdc power supply included with the trs5000.
2)
db9 serial communication cable (Male-Male) for data connection bet-
ween the trs5000 and the tPh cloner. (see note 1).
3)
dc/dc power cable to connect the tPh-cloner to thel tPX-cloner.
4)
dc/dc power cable to connect the tPX-cloner to the trs5000.
5)
tPh-cloner device.
6)
rs232 db9 serial communication cable (Male-Female) for data connec-
tion between the tPh-cloner and the tPX-cloner. (see note 2).
7)
tPX-cloner device.
8)
trs5000 with a firmware version equal to or higher than 3.0
NOTE 1
the rs232 M/M serial cable, which is different from the one included with
the trs5000 (M/F), can only be used to connect the tPh-cloner and the
trs5000.

the following graphic shows the connection and cables involved in linking

the connection process, in detail, consists of the following steps:
1)
connect the 12 Vdc outlet of the current adapter (110/220 Vac) (Fig.1)
to either of the 2 female connectors on the sides of the tPh cloner (Fig.5).
2)
connect the rs232 serial communication cable (M/M) included with the
tPh cloner (Fig.2), between the tPh-cloner (Fig.5) and the trs5000 (Fig.8).
3)
connect the rs232 serial communication cable (M/F) included with
the trs5000 (Fig.6), between thel tPh-cloner (Fig.5) and the tPX-cloner
(Fig.7).
4)
then connect the 2 dc cables (M/M). one will go from the side con-
nector that is free on the tPh cloner to one of the connectors on the front
of the tPX cloner.
the other cable will be connected from the free connection point on the
front of the tPX cloner to the supply connection point on the trs5000.

once the 3 steps have been carried out, you can turn on the tPh-cloner,
tPX-cloner and trs5000 unit.
For communication between the TRS5000 and
the Cloners (TPh + TPX) to be operative, the
status lEDs for both have to change from their
initial red to green.
If this does not happen, restart the TPh-Cloner,
unplugging it from the mains supply and plug-
ging it back in again.
