TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult your
dealer or the HiKOKI Authorized Service Center.

Tool doesn't run
White smoke comes out
Tool suddenly stopped
The battery remaining power
on the machine does not
match the battery with the
remaining battery indicator.
Battery cannot be installed
Possible cause
No remaining battery power
The switch was at a position between I and
OFF (○) for a certain amount of time.
On fi rst use, the oils in the heat insulating
material may vaporize due to heating and
produce a small amount of white smoke.
The battery is overheated.

Attempting to install a battery other than
that specifi ed for the tool.
Charge the battery.
Set the switch to the OFF (○) position once
before moving it.
The smoke will stop after a few minutes of
continuous use.
Let the battery cool down.
Refer to the indicator lamp on the battery.
Please install batteries that are multi volt or
BSL18xx series.
