11. Do not close doors or windows on the product, or extension cords, as this may damage
the wire insulation.
12. Extension cords for use with this product must be marked suitable for use with outdoor
appliances (or equivalent), if charging outdoors.
13. Electrical ratings of the extension cord must be as great, or greater than the electrical
rating of the product.
14. Power connections should be kept off the ground and dry.
15. Do not cover the product with cloth, paper or any material not part of the product when in
use.
16. Clean the insect tray and dead insects from the product frequently.
17. CAUTION - To reduce the risk of fire do not deliberately reposition pins on plug assembly.
18. Servicing - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in
the operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service
personnel.
19. Do not open the bug zapper. There are no user serviceable parts in this unit. Doing so will
void the warranty.

This manual will provide you with directions for the safe and efficient operation of your Bug
Zapper. Please read the manual carefully and keep it on file for future reference.
Portable Bug Zapper attracts insects by emitting UV light. The built-in electric grid helps to
eliminate insects upon contact.
Failure to operate this product in accordance with the instructions in this manual may cause
damage to the unit, damage to personal property, or personal injury.
About the device
The Portable Bug Zap per is the first of its kind with its cordless, rechargeable technology.
Because of the built-in rechargeable battery, you can place the Bug Zapper anywhere you
need it. For added convenience, the Bug Zapper can also be powered using the AC adaptor
(included).
Operation
To turn the Portable Bug Zapper ON, slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
The LED indicator light will illuminate to show that the unit is ON. To turn the unit OFF, slide
the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position.
Charging
Although Bug Zapper may come partially charged from the factory, we recommend that you
fully charge the battery before the first use. After that, the battery must be charged every
month to assure its life. When the LED indicator light on the unit changes from green to red,
this signals that the battery needs to be charged.
You can charge the battery by using the 6 Volt AC adaptors.
To charge Bug Zapper, using the AC adaptor: Plug one end of the AC adaptor (included)
into the charging port located on the side of the unit. Plug the other end of the AC adaptor
into any standard 230 Volt wall outlets.
