Operation

Switching the thermal imaging camera on and off
The thermal imaging camera is not intrinsically safe. Do not switch
on in explosive areas! Danger of explosion!
To switch on the thermal imaging camera, briefly press the ON/
OFF button. A start-up screen will appear for approximately
5 - 8 seconds and the LED in the ON/OFF button will light until an
IR image appears on the screen. Then the LED will turn off.
The thermal imaging camera is now ready for use. A scene will appear
using the factory-set default color palette ("TempColor").
The camera sensor system conducts an automatic recalibration
periodically. This can be recognized by an audible "click" of the
shutter inside the camera housing.
To switch off the thermal imaging camera, press the ON/OFF
button for more than 5 seconds.
The thermal imaging camera will indicate the message "Hold to
power down, release for standby".
The screen will go blank when the camera will turn off.
Activating the stand-by mode
Using the stand-by mode will save battery capacity. When the camera
is switched on, you can activate the stand-by mode as follows:
Press the ON/OFF button for 1 to 5 seconds.
The thermal imaging camera will indicate the message "Hold to
power down, release for standby".
Once you have released the button, the LED in the ON/OFF button
will start flashing. This will indicate that the stand-by mode has been
activated. The display will switched off.
