Turn the Generator switch on before starting the generator. If this switch is not set to “on” the generator will not start. STARTER GENERATOR SWITCH GENERATOR SWITCH (GEN 4000) (GEN 6500E) Recoil Starter To start the engine, pull the starter grip lightly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly.

Fuel Valve The fuel valve controls fuel flowing from the fuel tank to carburetor. Turn to “ON” before starting the engine. Return the lever to "OFF" after stopping the engine. Choke Lever The choke lever is used to provide more fuel when starting a cold engine.

AC Circuit Breaker The overload current will automatically switch the circuit breaker OFF to avoid short circuiting or overload. If the circuit breaker is switched OFF automatically, check the load before switching the circuit breaker back to ON. Generator Grounding To prevent electrical shock or misuse from faulty appliances, the generator should be grounded with an insulated lead. The National Electrical Code requires generators to be grounded to an approved earth ground. Before using the ground terminal, consult a qualified electrician, electrical inspector, or local agency having jurisdiction for local codes or ordinances that apply for the intended use of the generator.

PRE-OPERATION CHECK Engine Oil NOTICE Engine oil is a major factor affecting engine performance and service life. Non-detergent and 2-stroke engine oils will damage the engine and must not be used. Check the oil level before each use with the generator on a level surface with the engine stopped.

STARTING THE ENGINE Recoil Start(GEN 4000) Unplug everything from the outputs. Turn the fuel valve to the "ON" position. Turn the AC circuit breaker to the "OFF" position. Turn the choke lever to the "CLOSE" position. NOTICE Don't close the choke when starting the engine in a warm state.

Como propietario delpequeñomotor/equipo, debe saber queRATOpuede negarle cobertura degarantía si supequeño motortodoterreno/equipo ounapieza del mismo hafallado debido a unabuso, negligencia, mantenimiento inadecuado o modificaciones no autorizadas.Usted es responsablede presentar su pequeñomotor/equipoa unconcesionarioRATOtan prontocomo se presente elproblema.Lasreparaciones de garantía debencompletarse en un períodode tiempo razonable,que no exceda los 30 días.
Página 76 (3) Cualquier pieza asegurada que esté programada para ser reemplazada como parte del mantenimiento requerido en las instrucciones escritas en el inciso (d) debe estar asegurada durante el período de tiempo anterior al primer punto de reemplazo programado para esa pieza. Si la pieza falla antes del primer reemplazo programado, debe ser reparada o reemplazada por RATO de acuerdo con la Subsección (4) a continuación.
