Operating with external Festool
battery pack [2A] + [2B]
The device can operate with any Festool
battery pack from the BP, BPC or BPS
series. When connected to the external
Festool battery pack, the device only
consumes power from this battery
pack.
CAUTION always attach the battery
pack completely. If not, it may acciden­
tally fall out of the battery bay, causing
injury to you or someone around you.
CAUTION Do not force attach the bat­
tery pack. If the battery pack does not
slide in smoothly and does not engage,
it is not being inserted correctly.
CAUTION For optimal performance, we
recommend connecting to an 18V Li-Ion
battery pack.

Switching on/off

► To switch the device on: Press
on/off button [1-5].
The radio is ready for operation.
► To switch the device off: Press and
hold on/off button [1-5] (~1s).

Volume control

Press the volume control [a]
and [k] to adjust the desired volume.
For a better sound quality using
an external device, adjust the vol­
ume on the external device to
maximum 70%.

Checking battery status

To check the current battery level,
press the power button [1-5] to switch
on the radio. The battery status indica­

tor [e] will show the current battery lev­
el (only with Li-Ion battery pack).
Battery is fully charged
Battery is partially charg­

Battery low - charging re­
quired
battery critical - alterna­
tive power source re­
quired immediately.

Using the radio – FM (VHF)
► Align antenna [1-3].
Press Source [j] until FM
mode has been selected.
Automatic station search: FM (VHF)
► Press and hold station
search [i], [h] (~1s) to start the au­
tomatic station search.
The station search is automatically
ended when a station with a sufficient
signal strength has been found.
The display shows the frequency. If the
signal is strong enough and RDS infor­
mation is available, the display shows
the station name, the radio text and the
time.
Finding other stations
► Press station search [i], [h] as de­
scribed above.
When it reaches the end of the frequen­
cy band, the search jumps back to the
start of the frequency band.
Realign the antenna in the event
of poor reception.
