Working with the device
While cutting, make sure that you
do not touch any objects, such as
wirefencesorplantsupports.This
can cause damage to the safety
cutter bar.
• Ifthebladesbecomejammedwithsolid
objects, switch the device off immedi-
ately and remove the batteries. Only
then should you remove the object.
• Avoidover-stressingthedevicewhile
working.
• Withtheclippingscollectorinplace,
removetheclippingsfromthehedgeat
horizontal cuts towards the user. This
makesiteasiertocollecttheclippings.
Cutting Techniques
• Cut thick branches beforehand using a
branchclippers.
• Thedouble-sidedcutterbarenablescut-
high
ting in both directions or, with a swing-
ing action, from one side to the other.
• Incaseofverticalcutting,movethe
hedgetrimmeruniformlyforwardorup
and down in an arc movement.
• Incaseofhorizontalcutting,movethe
hedgetrimmerinasickle-shapedmove-
ment to the edge of the hedge, so that
cut branches fall to the ground.
• Inordertoachievelongstraightlines,
theplacingoftensionedguidingcords
is recommended.
