GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS FOR POWER
TOOLS
Read all warnings and safety instructions. Ignoring the warnings and
following the instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
Save the warnings and safety instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the safety warnings refers to your mains-
operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
BEFORE USING
• Remove any packing material and loose parts from the unit.
• Check the accessories before use. They must fit the machine and
its purpose.
• If the machine is new, the battery must be charged first.
• Attention! After long storage, the battery capacity will decrease.
• A new battery or one that has not been used for a long time
reaches full performance only after charge and discharge cycles.
A substantial drop in the runtime per charge indicates that the
battery is worn out and should be replaced.
WORK AREA
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered, dark areas invite
accidents.
• Do not use power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dusts. Power tools create
sparks that can ignite dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while using a power tool.
• Distractions can make you lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage
indicated on the nameplate.
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug

PERSONAL SECURITY
in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with grounded power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of
electric shock.
• Avoid bodily contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes,
radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water gets
into a power tool, it will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not damage the cable. Never use the cord to carry, pull, or
unplug the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp
edges, or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for outdoor use
reduces the risk of electric shock.
• If using a power tool in a wet location is unavoidable, use a power
supply protected by a residual current device (RCD). The use of an
RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool when you are tired
or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating a power tool can result in serious
personal injury.
• Wear safety gear. Always wear eye protection. The use of safety
equipment such as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a hard hat,
or hearing protection whenever necessary will reduce the risk of
personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starts. Make sure the switch is in the off position
before inserting the plug. Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or plugging in power tools when the switch is in the on
position increases the chance of accidents.
• Remove all adjusting wrenches or wrenches before turning on
power tool. An adjustable wrench or wrench placed in a rotating
part of the power tool can cause personal injury.
