Troubleshooting tips
Before calling a technician
You may not need to call a technician if you consult the tables on the following pages.
Problems
Possible causes
A fuse has blown or the
circuit breaker has tripped.
The dishwasher does not
The appliance is not turned

The drain hose is clogged or
kinked.
The filter is blocked.
The water in the dishwasher

Solutions
• Replace the fuse or reset
the circuit breaker.
• Remove all other
appliances that use
the same circuit as the
dishwasher.
• Check that the
dishwasher is switched
on and the door is closed.
Make sure the power cord
is properly connected to the
wall socket.
• Check that the water
supply is correctly
connected and the water
tap is open.
• Make sure to close the
door by clicking the latch.
• Check the drain hose.
• Check the pre-filter.
• Check that the kitchen
sink drains properly.
• If the kitchen sink is
blocked, you will need a
plumber rather than a
dishwasher repairman.

Solutions
• Check that the
dishwasher is switched
on and the door is closed.
Make sure the power cord
is properly plugged into the
wall socket.
• To avoid foaming,
only use a detergents
that are specifically for
use in dishwashers. If
this happens, open the
dishwasher door to let
the foam evaporate. Add 4
litres of cold water to the
dishwasher tub. Close the
dishwasher door and select
any wash cycle. Initially the
dishwasher will drain the
water. Open the door when
the drainage phase has
finished and check whether
the foam has disappeared.
• Repeat if necessary.
• Always clean up any
spilled rinse agent
immediately.
• Make sure your detergent
does not contain colouring
dyes.
