1. General instructions
The instructions in this user manual must be carefully followed and adhered to. All
those involved in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of the product
must have read and understood this user manual.
We reserve the right to make technical changes to the illustrations and details in the
user manual in order to improve the product.
2. Intended use of the equipment
The Flammex waste bins are designed for save refuse collection in buildings. Outdoor
use is not recommended, placement in humid rooms like rest rooms is easily possible.
It is permitted to use the bin without lid (erase head) because it ensures the self-
extinguishing function. It is not allowed to collect waste, which is contaminated with oil
or other easily flammable materials. The bins have to be emptied regularly to avoid
overfilling.

4. Safety Instructions
Make sure that the erase head is fitted accurate to the bin at any time
In the case of fire do not remove the erase head (the fire is extinguished after a
short time
After the extinction of the flame wait until the bin is cooled down completely
Attention: by removing the erase head it may come to a new inflammation and/or a
darting flame!
After a fire in the bin it has to be inspected: the surface coating must be undamaged
and there may be no distortion in the bin and erase head. If there is any doubt the
complete product has to be replaced for safety reasons.
5. Maintenance and Care
The products can be cleaned with standard cleaning fluids (please check compatibility
first, the Flammex waste bins are maid from powder-coated steel or stainless steel).
6. Disposal
When disposing of any waste materials follow local legislation.

In case of fire the burnt gas will be guided
back into the bin by the funnel-shaped
erase head. This causes a gas bubble,
which is closing the opening and stops the
influence of oxygen  the fire is extin-
guished.
