11. TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
Steam does not come out of
the iron.
Little steam comes out of the
iron.
Water comes out of the iron
instead of steam.
Traces of water remain on the
garments.
On first start-up or after fill-
ing the tank, no steam is dis-
pensed.
Should the problem persist or if it is not in the table, contact an Authorised Polti Service Cen-
tre (see www.polti.com for the up-to-date list) or Customer Care.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
No power/switched off
Water reservoir empty.
The appliance is new, and the
tube that feeds water to the
iron is still empty.
The steam is dry and not very
visible, but present and effec-
tive.
You have not pressed and
held the steam button under
the grip on the iron.
You are ironing in Eco mode.
First use.
You have just replaced the li-
mescale filter.
The ironing-board lining is
impregnated with water.
The tube that feeds water to
the iron is still empty.

SOLUTION
Make sure that the appliance
.
is connected to the mains
and the
switch is on.
Fill the water tank.
Press and hold the steam
control until it is filled.
This is a normal phenomenon
seen in certain environmental
conditions.
Keep the steam button under
the grip on the iron pressed in
while ironing.
For a more powerful jet of
steam, deactivate Eco mode
and activate Max mode.
Dispense onto a cloth until
steam comes out of the holes
in the plate (see section 2).
Dry the iron with a cloth and
resume normal ironing.
Check that the ironing board
is suitable (a board with a grill
that prevents condensation).
Press and hold the steam
control until it is filled.
