CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Unplug the appliance and wait until it cools down completely before cleaning.
2. Wipe the outer surface of the appliance with a damp cloth and dry with a soft, dry cloth.
3. Clean the cable if it has been stained with the ingredients.
4. Wash the beater attachments and kneading rods in warm, soapy water and dry. The beater attachments
and the kneading rods can be put in the dishwasher.
CAUTION: Do not immerse the device in water.
SUGGESTIONS FOR COOKING
1. Ingredients that are kept refrigerated, such as butter and eggs, should be at room temperature before
mixing. Take these ingredients out of the refrigerator in advance.
2. Arrange all ingredients and utensils near the mixer.
3. To prevent pieces of eggshell from falling into the preparation, crack the eggs in a separate bowl and add
them to the mixture afterwards.
4. When beating egg whites, make sure the bowls and accessories are completely clean and dry, as even the
smallest amount of fat in the beater or bowl will cause the whites to not rise.
5. Always start mixing at low speed and gradually increase until you reach the speed recommended in the
recipe.
6. Do not over beat. Take care to blend the mixture only for the amount of time indicated in the recipe. Add
the solid ingredients only until they are integrated. Always use a reduced speed. If the mixture is overmixed
at any point in the process, it can cause it to harden, weigh down the texture, prevent the dough from
rising, or cause it to shrink too much. Climatic conditions: Seasonal changes in temperature as well as the
temperature of the ingredients and their variations in texture between some areas and others determine the
time that will be necessary to process them and the results that will be obtained.
7. While blending, ingredients may splash up the sides of the bowl. To scrape the bowl, turn the whisk
attachment to the OFF position and use a plastic or rubber spatula. NEVER USE METAL KNIVES, SPOONS OR
FORKS as they could damage the mixing attachment and bowl. Performing this operation each time
ingredients are added helps to ensure that they are mixed effectively.
