TROUBLESHOOTING
When replacing the lamp or servicing the fi tting, turn the power off at the mains and allow the lantern to cool.
FAULT
Unit will not work at all
Unit will not work when in normal
operation
Sensing range too short
Lamp on all the time
Lamp false triggers
Cannot operate Test Mode
Cannot switch off Test Mode
If Normal Mode lamp stays on
for more than 1 minute

POSSIBLE CAUSE
• No power
• Lamp not fi tted correctly or broken
• Incorrect wiring
• Area too light, e.g. lighting nearby
• Unit is fi xed too high, or angle of
approach into detection bands is incorrect
• Other lighting interfering with the
sensitivity of the PIR sensor
• The manual override has been activated
• Wrongly wired
• Lantern badly positioned
• High winds
• Waited for more than 10 seconds after
power-up before trying to activate
• PIR is being triggered
• PIR (sensor) has been triggered again
within the 1 minute time period (see
specifi cation)
SOLUTION
• Check power and fuse
• Check lamp
• Check wiring
• Re-position lantern if required
• Move the unit to a lower height and/or
change the angle of approach
• Move lantern away from other lighting
• Turn manual override off
• Check wiring
• Reposition lantern
• Temporary situation. If annoying, switch
lantern off
• Switch OFF-ON OFF-ON within 10 seconds
of power-up
• Ensure nothing crosses the detection
area for more than 40 seconds
• Light will automatically switch off
approximately 1 minute after the last signal
the PIR receives
