Refuel
Refuel the appliance once there is a good bed of embers and the
flames have gone out. Open the door gently to prevent smoke
from escaping (if opening while lit) or embers from falling. Once
the wood has been added, close the door.
CAUTION.
Opening the door while there is still burning fuel
inside may cause flames and smoke to escape.
NOMINAL OUTPUT
A minimum of 2 logs of wood is required to produce nominal
output. Place the logs towards the back of the hearth to prevent
embers from falling.
MIN/REDUCED OUTPUT
Set the controls according to the table (*)
Do not keep the hearth burning low for long periods of time. This
can cause the flue and hearth to become clogged. After operating
at reduced output, always burn a full load of firewood at nominal
output.
IN CASE OF AN INCIDENT
In the event of an incident in the room (chimney fire, fire in the
hearth, very strong winds...), quickly close the door and shut-off
the hearth controls. Do not pour water into the hearth. Call the fire
services.
TURBO FAN
The fans on either side of the ash box door are controlled by a 3-
position switch connected to a thermostat:
O:
OFF
I:
COMFORT
II:
HIGH
Select the position based on flame intensity and heating needs.
II - HIGH to heat the room up quickly.
I - COMFORT for a pleasant «cruising' speed».
0 - OFF for a slow, low fire.
Hot air via natural convection collects on the ceiling. The turbo
function circulates the ambient air to ensure a pleasant, even
temperature in the room. The air temperature at the insert outlet is
more regular.
THERMOSTAT
The thermostat is always working, regardless of the switch
position. The factory-set thermostat temperature cannot be
changed. When the apparatus is hot, the fans switch to speed II.
Do not switch off the fans when the appliance is heating up, as this
could damage them.

5. MAINTENANCE - RECOMMENDATIONS

ASH REMOVAL
Wait until the appliance is cold.
- Clean the hearth's removable grate.
- Regularly empty the ash box. A build-up of ash hinders air flow
below the grate, which may hinder the flow and affect combustion.
- Refit the ash box and grate before putting in a new load of wood.
MAINTENANCE OF FAÇADE ELEMENTS
Do not use water, solvents or abrasives (not even lightly) to
freshen up the appearance of the door frame, use only a soft, dry
cloth.
CLEANING THE GLASS
Clean the glass when it is cold, using a damp cloth. The air sweep
system is designed to keep the inner glass clean. Nevertheless,
during normal use slight darkening of the glass may occur. The
glass sweep system is less efficient with low burning mode.
SOOT REMOVAL
Legislation stipulates that the chimney should be swept twice a
year (including one during the heating period) by mechanical
means. Keep the documents signed by the company responsible
for this work as proof that this has been done.
After cleaning the flue, refit the smoke baffle. Before using the
hearth again, check that all the parts are in place.
YEARLY MAINTENANCE
Before each heating season, clean the hearth thoroughly and
check that the appliance's moving parts operate correctly.
