Operation

The multi-function stop can be used as a parallel stop
and also as a cross stop and mitre stop.

3.1 Multi-function stop handling

The multi-function stop consists of an angle stop 1 (Fig.
1), two exchangeable stop rails 2 and 3 and a rod
holder 4.
The multi-function stop can be
used:
The multi-function stop can be placed in any position
at the dovetail guides and clamped as follows:
Turn the clamping lever 22 (Fig. 3) vertically
downwards to the unfastened position 22.1 (Fig.
6).
Then place the rod holder 4 (Fig. 1) obliquely
from above (Fig. 7) against the dovetail profile so
that the clamping jaw 24 is pushed to the rear and
engages in the profile.
In the unfastened position 22.1 (Fig. 6) of the
clamping lever, the stop can be moved variably
on the profile.
Turn the clamping lever 22 (Fig. 3) to the left to
position 22.2 (Fig. 6) to clamp the rod holder.
By turning the clamping lever to the right to position
22.3 (Fig. 6), the rod holder can be removed from the
profile at any position.
Regularly clean the dovetail profile of the machine and
of the rod holder as well as the clamping surface of the

clamping jaw 24 (Fig. 7) with a clean cloth. This
ensures the required clamping force.

3.2 Adjustment

Danger
Only carry out adjustments on the
multi-function stop when the saw
blade is stationary and the mains
plug has been unplugged.
The position of the stop rails (workpiece positioning) to
the angle scale has been precisely set at the factory.
Nevertheless, if a later adjustment should become
necessary, this is accomplished as follows:
Unfasten the cylinder head screw 8 (Fig. 3) in the
guide rod 5 at the underside of the stop with a
screwdriver.
Attach the multi-purpose guide fence in the
dovetail guide on the left longitudinal side of the
table by turning the clamping lever to position
22.2 (Fig 6).
Fasten the guide rod with the lateral closing lever
in position 23.2.
Check whether the fence extension has been
correctly set. Pay attention to the distance
between fence extension and saw blade. At the
rear ascending tooth, the distance must be
slightly larger than at the front descending tooth.
Move the angle stop 1 (Fig. 1) to the 0° or 90°
position by releasing the upper handle 6 and
switch on the detent with the detent button 14.
Adjust the stop by turning the eccentric bolt 7 with
a screwdriver. Turn the bolt until the needle
points to the 0° or 90° position.
Retighten the handle 6 again.
Retighten the cylinder head screw 8 at the
underside of the guide rod 5.
Carry out a test cut!
If the test cut is not ok, start again with the adjustment.
The angle display is retained on the scale after
readjusting the stop!
