it is severely damaged or is completely w orn
out. The battery cartridge can explode in a fire.

For commercial transports e.g. by third parties ,
for w arding agents , special re q uirement on
packaging and labeling must be observed.
For preparation of the item being shipped ,
consulting an e x pert for ha z ardous material is
re q uired. P lease also observe possibly more
detailed national regulations.

to non compliant products may result in a fire,

of time , t h e battery must be removed from t h e
appliance.
14. D uring and after use , t h e battery cartridge
may take on h eat w h ic h can cause burns or
lo w temperature burns. Pay attention to t h e
h andling of h ot battery cartridges.
15. D o not touc h t h e terminal of t h e appliance
immediately after use as it may get h ot enoug h
to cause burns.
1 6 . D o not allo w c h ips , dust , or soil stuck into t h e
terminals , h oles , and grooves of t h e battery
cartridge. It may result in poor performance or
breakdo w n of the appliance or battery cartridge.
17. Unless t h e appliance supports t h e use near
h ig h - voltage electrical po w er lines , do not
use t h e battery cartridge near h ig h - voltage
electrical po w er lines. It may result in a
malfunction or breakdo w n of the appliance or
battery cartridge.

Tips for maintaining ma x imum
battery life

C h arge t h e battery cartridge before completely
disc h arged. Al w ays stop appliance operation
and c h arge t h e battery cartridge w h en you
notice less appliance po w er.
2.
Never rec h arge a fully c h arged battery car-
tridge. Overc h arging s h ortens t h e battery
service life.
3.
C h arge t h e battery cartridge w it h room tem-
perature at 1 0 ° C - 4 0 ° C ( 5 0 ° F - 1 0 4 ° F). Let
a h ot battery cartridge cool do w n before
c h arging it.

W h en not using t h e battery cartridge , remove
it from t h e appliance or t h e c h arger.

C h arge t h e battery cartridge if you do not use
it for a long period (more t h an si x mont h s).
