WHAT DOES OZONE DO?
Ozone is one of the most effective sterilisers for water treatment.
Ozone has a very strong oxidising and sterilising effect on all organic substances and eliminates unpleasant
odours. Because of these properties, it has been used for decades to disinfect air and drinking water and it is
used in the food industry.
The Ozone atom O3 oxidises micro-organisms, such as fungi, (legionella) bacteria, parasites, algae, viruses,
perspiration, cosmetics, sunscreen, even urine, etc.!
When Ozone reacts and done its work, it disappears from the water without leaving behind any by-products.

ATTENTION! Carefully read the entire manual before installation! This device is only for outdoor use.
The air that is charged with Ozone particles is pumped into the pond via the system using an air pump, which
should always be installed in a dry place and preceding the Filtreau Ozone. The discharge of the system can be
routed to the pond using an air hose or it can also be connected directly to an aerated bottom drain.
TIP: Place a non-return valve (material; VITON /PVDF) in the air line/hose between the pond/basin and the
Filtreau Ozone or install the Filtreau Ozone above the water level. This prevents damage, etc. to the device if your
air pump fails.
ATTENTION! Do not connect water to the device, only air!
SAFETY AND INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS
• See the Technical Specifications for the required mains voltage and type of current.
• The device may only be connected to an electrical installation that complies with legal standards.
A residual-current circuit breaker (30 mA) and an earthed socket are required. In case of doubt, always consult
a qualified installer.
• The device, electronic ballast, plug and power cord should be placed at a distance of minimum 2 metres from
the basin.
• Always keep the plug free of moisture. Prevent water from running into the socket along the power cord
(See illustration #1 for loop formation in the power cord).
• Never submerge the device in any liquid.
• The device can withstand a maximum pressure of 3 bar.
• The device is only suitable for use in dry rooms.
• If temperatures occur outside these limits, the device must be completely shut down.
• Check the entire device, power cord and plug for damage before use. Do not use the device in the event of
damage. Have the damage assessed by the dealer.
• The device should only be activated if the air flow is sufficient.
• To prevent possible damage to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract, the operation of the Ozone lamp should
be checked only while wearing UV protection goggles.
• The special lamp generates Ozone, which has a strong odour even in very small quantities. Higher concen-
trations of Ozone can be harmful to the eyes, nose and skin. Therefore, always check the system carefully for
leaks. Proper installation and correct positioning of the O-rings is very important.
• In case of maintenance, the power supply to the device and air pump must be switched off.
