7.3 Connecting the device

Operation of this device may produce a high voltage which could cause severe injuries
or death in case of improper installation or operation of this device.

When working around a battery, do not allow tools to bridge the battery terminals or
short circuit any part of the battery.

Battery cables must not be connected to the battery in reverse polarity, otherwise dam-
age to the device may occur.

NOTE
Plan out the wire routing before permanently mounting the devices and any wiring. In
many installations it is better to mock up the whole installation before mounting the
devices.
1. Connect the battery to the controller (fig. 1, page 3, 5).
2. Connect the solar panel to the controller (fig. 1, page 3, 4).
3. Connect the consumers to the controller (fig. 1, page 3, 6).
The readiness of the controller is indicated by a LED signal (see chapter "LED indications" on page 9).

NOTE
When the solar panel is exposed to light, it supplies a DC voltage to the solar charge
controller.
