3. CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS
Ethernet RJ45 wire
The IperCom system was developed for operating with EIA/TIA 568B standard.
• Connect the wire to one of the RJ45 connectors with Urmet logo.
• Insert the wire in the guide respecting the color-coding shown (Standard T568B).
• Cut the wires which protrude from the guide by approximately 5mm, insert the guide in the plug and
crimp the plug with a specific tool.
• Make sure that the grey sheath stays inside the plug. This type of connection will NOT guarantee double
insulation.

Refer to the instructions contained in the system manual for maximum distances.
• Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the POE switch of the system and the other end to the LAN
connector of the device.
In case of local power supply, you must first connect the LAN cable to a non-POE port on the switch and
then connect it to the local power supply.

5. MAINTENANCE
Use a soft damp cloth to clean the front panel. Do not use products containing alcohol or window cleaning
products.
