3.3.
Working with the unit
1) Before starting work, check that the device and the power cord are not
damaged. Then make sure that the switch next to the engine is in the "OFF"
position. If this is not the case, switch it to the middle position and set the lever
to the up position.
2) Then you need to:
•
adjust the position of the feet and tighten the mounting screws,
•
attach the protective tube by inserting it into the appropriate place,
and choose the appropriate length of the selected spiral. How to connect the
spiral is explained later in the manual. When the spiral is ready, attach the
appropriate tip with the power off.
3) Then, insert the previously prepared spiral into the opening of the device. The
spiral should be inserted in such a way that the end of the spiral without the
tip is inserted into the opening at the front of the device - on the opposite side
of the power cord (the spiral should be inside the protective tube). You should
leave approx. 50 cm of spiral in front of the device. When the device is ready
for drainage, connect it to the power supply.
4) To start unblocking, set the device at approx. 50 cm from the place where the
spiral is inserted. Put the spiral into the hole in such a way that when the device
is turned on, the spiral does not twist or curl. Switch the direction switch
located at the motor to the "FOR" position - the motor of the device starts
working, but until the lever is moved to the down position, the motor torque
will not be transferred to the spiral. Then insert the appropriate length of the
spiral (pulling it out of the machine) into the opening of the blocked pipe. Use
protective gloves! When the spiral is in the right place, move the lever to the
down position to start unblocking. To insert subsequent sections of the spiral
into the hole, first move the lever to the upper position, which will stop the
spiral, then put on the protective gloves, push the next section and move the
lever to the lower position.
Caution! Be aware of the torsion when you are in the vicinity of the spiral!
The spiral may move by itself at any time, even if the drive of the device is
turned off.
