14. PROBLEM SOLVING
Before removing the junction box cover and before disassembling or removing any part of the pump,
make sure that the power is switched off and that it cannot be switched on accidentally.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Power failure
- Fuses blown
- Overload protection tripped
- Thermal protection tripped
- Motor starter connections do not make
contact
- The electrical panel is damaged
- Motor is damaged
- A blown fuse
- Motor protection contacts
are damaged
- Faulty cable connections
- Motor winding damaged
- Pump mechanically blocked
- Protection set too low
- Protection set too low
- Voltage drop at peak times
- Power failure
- Fuses blown
- Thermal protection has tripped
- Motor connections do not make contact or
are defective
- The electrical panel is defective
- Low pressure at pump inlet
(cavitation)
- Suction partially blocked
- Pump is rotating in air
- Switch on power
